The Challenge
The acquisition of a major wealth management group a large Australian bank led to an extensive programme charged with integrating the two organisations. The program scope included the integration of superannuation, margin lending, cash management trust products.
The Approach
As Program Manager, aQintus was responsible for the integration of the business operations and IT systems of these products. The best of breed products of each business unit were selected and analysed. Business processes were re-engineered and standardised, a new organisational model was defined and roles reassigned. The product IT systems were merged onto a common platform. Significant change management activities were undertaken to prepare the merged entity’s customers and workforce for the new operating environment.
The Outcome
Delivered all projects well under budget and in half the time. Two teams returned unused funds to the budget. The merged entity continues to operate successfully.
